Parents Victoria respectfully acknowledges the traditional owners, the Boon Wurrung and Woiwurrung (Wurundjeri) peoples of the Kulin Nation, on whose country we work. We pay our respect to their elders past, present and future.
Their ancestral ties to country have never been extinguished, and sovereignty never ceded.

Should teachers be banned from using Artificial Intelligence to write student reports? This question was addressed by ABC Radio Melbourne’s Justin Smith yesterday on the Drive program. Justin interviewed Parents Victoria CEO Gail McHardy about the issue.
Gail commented that parents expect individual, personalised comments that are specific to their child, and that the use of AI could affect parents’ trust that the report is a genuine assessment of their child’s strengths and weaknesses.
Justin also took talkback calls expressing a range of views about the appropriateness of using AI in report writing.
You can listen to the program online on the ABC website, (Gail is the first guest interviewed in the segment).
