The Department of Education and Training has partnered with mindfulness program Smiling Mind to produce resources to support VCE/VCAL students to remain positive and engaged in their education during the coronavirus pandemic.

The first of six episodes launched today, and includes:

  • A short video
  • Online tip sheet
  • Mindfulness meditations on taking care of yourself.

An educator fact sheet is also available for teachers to guide students in using these resources.

More to come

New episodes will be released on a rolling basis during Term 4 to support students as they complete VCE and VCAL subjects, finish school and start considering their future study and employment opportunities. 

Young people feature in each episode and share tips with peers about the importance of looking after yourself, understanding and managing emotions, being mindful, the importance of positive study and sleep habits for optimal learning and stress resilience, being kind to yourself, navigating uncertainty and preparing for change.
