Neuroplasticity and improving learning

“Neuroplasticity” is a long word, but it simply refers to the brain’s ability to build itself in response to new life experiences and changes in development. Clinical psychologist Andrew Fuller has written an information sheet for parents on this topic. The reason it’s so important for parents is that the two peak times for changes in the brain occur in the earliest years of our lives and during early adolescence.
Andrew’s information sheet looks at how parents can create optimum conditions for their children’s learning – from diet and exercise to reducing stress, creating strong relationships, giving children a stimulating and challenging environment and allowing hands-on learning.
Andrew makes complex ideas easy to understand in this 3-page information sheet – well worth a read!
We thank Andrew for making this information available to parents free of charge.
