In 2021 the Victorian Legislative Council Economy and Infrastructure Committee held an Inquiry into the Use of School Buses in Rural and Regional Victoria.
Primarily this inquiry considered how the use of school buses could be extended to the wider public to enhance the mobility of regional and rural Victorians. PV supported this extension of school bus usage, with important conditions: the effective and safe transport of students to and from school must always be the first priority. We also made recommendations about how school buses could support the Tech School program currently operating in Victoria.
